Beseda s Donem Sparlingem

Ve čtvrtek 7. března 2024 jsme měli čest přivítat u nás Dona Sparlinga, zakladatele kanadských studií v ČR a bývalého vedoucího Katedry anglistiky a amerikanistiky na Masarykově univerzitě v Brně.

Don si pro posluchače připravil prezentaci o historii Kanady, jejích největších zajímavostech a nejpalčivějších tématech současnosti. Prostor byl samozřejmě i na dotazy diváků.

Ještě jednou děkujeme Donovi za skvělou přednášku.

We had the honor of hosting a guest lecture on March 7 given by Don Sparling, the founder of Canadian Studies in Czechia and former head of the Department of English and American Studies at Masaryk University in Brno.

The presentation included the general overview of Canada and its history, Canada’s most distinctive features, and the most hot-button topics of nowadays. There was also time left for a Q&A session.
